Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement

Academic EXCELLENCE in Action!

We are the only private school in our area to offer

SEVEN Dual Enrollment College courses

on-campus. in classroom,

taught by certified ASCS faculty!

ASCS is pleased to announce a partnership with JBU, Regent University, and Bryan College to offer seven college courses for the school year 2011-12. These courses are taught at Atlantic Shores by our teachers, who are college faculty members.

Students are enrolled in these three universities and receive college credit upon successful completion of the course. The advantage that a student enjoys by taking a dual enrollment class is the fact that college and high school credits are earned upon the successful completion of the course (passing for colleges is a grade of “C” or higher).

These three colleges are offering our students a reduced tuition. The courses will be taught using the university’s curriculum, and students will have to purchase any required textbooks.

Dual Enrollment (DE) pre-requisites include: 3.0 GPA and
recommendations from the counselor and teacher.

Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes are offered
for 11th and 12th graders. 10th Grade students may enroll in
AP Music Theory.
